Horrible news for the Houston Texans as rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson is out for the season after tearing his ACL in practice.
Watson was just named the AFC’s Player of the Month. In four games in October, he threw for 1,171 yards with 16 touchdowns with just five interceptions. Watson also added 145 yards and another touchdown on the ground.
Watson for the season passed for 1,699 yards and 19 touchdowns, setting the record for the most passing touchdowns in the first seven career games, passing Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner.
As word of the injury spread, athletes took to social media to send their thoughts and prayers to the rookie passer.
