This past Wednesday, thanks to a student-led ministry outreach program called Fields of Faith, football fields everywhere were transformed into sites to worship God.

Roughly a quarter of a million students in every corner of the United States stood boldly on nearby football fields to encourage their peers to devote themselves to a life with Christ.

“From the student leaders who take on the responsibility to bring Fields of Faith to their communities to the skeptical or hurting teen who might be attending for the first time, we see time and again that Fields of Faith motivates, energizes, rejuvenates and unites,” FCA Executive Director of Ministry Advancement Jeff Martin said in a statement to Fox News.
Fields of Faith is a branch of the well-known organization Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), which focuses on “serving local communities around the globe by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to unite, inspire and change the world through the Gospel.”
Julianna Braniecki, president of the FCA chapter at Hofstra University, shared on Fox News Thursday the impact her school’s first Fields of Faith event had on her.
“It was a really powerful experience,” she said. “My faith is something that is very important to me, and through my experience with FCA, that has greatly increased that and grown in my love for Christ.”
Fields of Faith began in 2004 with a small fraction of the students who now participate. The annual events have grown to include students from all 50 states. Martin believes God has used Fields of Faith to change the lives of countless young people.
“Jesus takes hold of lives right there on the athletic fields, and we are continually amazed at what He does each year in young peoples’ lives,” Martin said.
He continued later: “Year after year, it’s an enormous blessing to see all that God has accomplished through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Fields of Faith. None of this would be possible without God and the students He raises up to organize these amazing events, where they share how Jesus has changed their lives.”
