The world’s most decorated female snowboarder squeezed into the top six yesterday at the Burton U.S. Open in Vail, Colo. After securing her spot in the final round of the women’s halfpipe competition, Kelly Clark joined us for an exclusive interview about how her faith in God has freed her to be the best boarder she can be. Take a sneak peek of our chat with Kelly!
“Qualifiers are actually a lot more stressful than finals; you only have two runs as opposed to three like you have in the finals,” Kelly said. “You just want to make it through, but now you really get to be creative. I’m looking forward to putting a lot more of my technical tricks into my [finals] run come Saturday. And with three runs you have a lot more opportunity to to put something down. You can be really creative and progressive and hopefully put down your best run.”
