The sports world celebrates Easter on social media

As Christians celebrated the death and resurrection of Jesus this weekend, people from around the sports world gave thanks for the sacrifice Christ made on our behalf.

On Easter Sunday, football players from the professional and college ranks rejoiced that Jesus defeated death by rising from the grave.

Athletes from a wide variety of sports joined in the celebration.

LAFC forward Christian Ramirez scored a goal in his team’s 4-1 win over the Seattle Sounders on Sunday night and gave thanks to God on Instagram afterward.

Coaches also took to social media on Easter, joyfully proclaiming Jesus’ resurrection.

Analysts chimed in as well, including ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit, who posted a video of evangelist Franklin Graham.
