“You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness and into His wonderful light.” – 1 Peter 2:9
You Are All One
If you believe in Jesus Christ, you know that you are forgiven for all sins: past, present, and future. If you believe that you are forgiven and redeemed, you probably also believe that that does not mean you are now perfect, never to sin again. You know that you’re a work in progress, that God still has work to do in you.
Do you also believe that God is not done working on the rest of your brothers and sisters in Christ? It’s easy to say that you are a work in progress while criticizing others who “should know better.”
Instead of grumbling or criticizing those who are in the refining process (as we all are!), let’s help each other walk in His wonderful light. Let’s encourage each other to find our identity in Christ who has set us free from condemnation and guilt.
Believe and live out the truth that we see in Galatians 3:27-28 that says, “For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
