Football is meant to be a team sport. Unless a quarterback has an offensive line, he will never survive. He needs receivers and running backs, and then a defense to stop the opposing team. He needs coaches on the field and those up in the press box who can see the things other teams are doing. He can’t play the sport by himself!

Just like football is meant to be a team sport, we have to be aware that we were not put on this earth to live for ourselves. We were made for a greater purpose than simply to make money, retire and die. We were made for a mission, and that mission gives our life meaning.

As Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Once we figure out our mission in life, we then must surround ourselves with those who are like-minded and set out to do the work that God has called us to do. You can’t go through life alone; you need others.

And with those who will walk alongside you, through the Lord, you can do great things for Him!
