“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
Sometimes the hardest thing we can do is admit we have a need. We want to feel self-sufficient, put-together, independent but we just aren’t. That’s not how God designed us to be! We are all in need of a Savior and in need of each other. Romans 12:5 tells us, “In Christ we, through many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”
God created us to play a part in His greater purpose and in each other’s lives, not only for our own sakes but also for the advancement of the Gospel! We each have a vital role to play in God’s Kingdom. By letting your brother or sister help carry your burden, you are giving them the opportunity to be Jesus to you – to fulfill their role in the Body of Christ. In the same way, be on the lookout for those who need someone to be Jesus to them.
Coach, your challenge for today is to find a need and fill it. Likewise, don’t be afraid to let others jump in to help you in your time of need.
