NEW PODCAST: Rodney Smith Jr., Raising Men Lawn Care Service

THIS IS EPISODE 291 OF THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST

Rodney Smith Jr. is the owner of Raising Men Lawn Care Service, which is the union of an ordinary yard maintenance service and the commitment to establish an inspiring program to keep youth (girls and boys) on a positive path, helping them learn and understand their value in society. RMLCS provides free lawn care to elders, those who are disabled, single mothers and veterans — people who do not have the time, resources and/or money to manicure their yards.

The business’s mission is to unite the local community in which it serves. It is confident it can provide an inspirational program that focuses on channeling the energy youths have in a positive way, as well as helps those who need it most. Sometimes youth want to help the community and sometimes people need it, but it can be hard to know who, why and where. RMLCS focuses on getting this sorted out while also helping people care for and maintain their lawns.

On this episode of the podcast, we talk to Smith about the great work he’s doing to help others and how his faith in Jesus guides him to want to serve and give back. This podcast is less about sports and more about showing the love of God to others.
