THIS IS EPISODE 414 OF THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
Chris Marlow is the founder of Help One Now. Last year, his organization partnered with Big League Impact and pro baseball players to build a secondary school in Haiti. MLB players Kyle Gibson, Zach Duke, Brian Dozier and Logan Morrison joined BLI to invite fans and supporters to work together to make the school become a reality.
Marlow started “Help One Now” after meeting a starving young orphan at an abandoned gas station in Zimbabwe. At that moment, he was compelled to dedicate his life to seeking justice by empowering high-capacity local leaders to care for orphans and vulnerable children, and to help them see their communities transform. His passion is organizing tribes of everyday people to partner with global movements that do good.
In 2016, Marlow wrote a book, “Doing Good is Simple.”
On this episode of the podcast, Marlow shares the incredible story of starting Help One Now, his love for sports at a young age, his broken relationship with his father, and how God has helped him overcome fears to move past regret.

And just like that, Mackenzie is a Senior, the last first day, which of course is triggering so many emotions. I’m grateful for who she has become, Uber-smart, creative, and justice driven. She has read Harry Potter at least a billion times, and this time next year, she will head off to college pursue her dream of becoming a Doctor of Psychology. (Small goals). Parents, enjoy the moments, they come fast and before you know it the future is right at your doorstep!
