THIS IS EPISODE 552 OF THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
Donnie Jones is the Stetson University men’s basketball coach. He was named to his current role in March 2019. In the 2019-20 season, Jones led the Hatters to 16 victories, a nine-win improvement over their previous season and the most in the country for a first-year head coach.
Prior to Stetson, Jones had head coaching stops at Marshall and Central Florida, and was an assistant coach for 11 seasons with Billy Donovan and the Florida Gators, where he helped lead the program to back-to-back national championships in 2006 and 2007.
On today’s podcast, we talk to Jones about coaching Michael Jordan’s sons, developing a culture, coaching in a pandemic, and why he’s using social media to inspire and encourage.
