THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH JASON ROMANO, FEATURING JONATHAN ISAAC
Jonathan Isaac is a forward in the NBA with the Orlando Magic, selected sixth overall in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Florida State, where he excelled in his one season with the Seminoles.
In 2019-20, Isaac had a breakout season, averaging 11.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game, but two injuries to his knee shortened that season and have caused him to miss the entire 2020-21 and 2021-22 NBA seasons. He is also an author and his new book “Why I Stand,” released in May.
Today on the podcast, we welcome Isaac back to the show and discuss his decision to stand during the national anthem in the 2020 NBA bubble, the ramifications from that decision, why he wants to simply point to Jesus in all that he does, and how his injuries have given him a new perspective on the game of basketball.
I’m excited to share that “Why I stand” is live for preorder today! In it I share my story of what has changed my life and why i felt the need to share it before the world! Thank you to Everyone who has helped along the way! 🥲🙏🏽 Pre-order Today!!! 🙌🏾https://t.co/lXYXaS68YW pic.twitter.com/ZkjRGCYlOn
