THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH JASON ROMANO, FEATURING SARAH GAYLER
Sarah Gayler is the men’s basketball coach and director of athletics at Brescia University in Owensboro, Kentucky. A native of Norman, Oklahoma, Gayler is the first female head coach for a men’s basketball team in NAIA history, dating back to 1937.
Prior to her role at Brescia, she was a member of the Milwaukee Bucks basketball operations staff in 2020 and 2021, and won an NBA championship with the organization in 2021. She’s also had experience coaching in the American Basketball Association, Premier Basketball League and NBA Developmental League (now G-League).
Today on the podcast, we talk to Sarah Gayler about winning an NBA title with Milwaukee, trailblazing as a female head coach in men’s college basketball, glorifying God in her work, and why it’s important to not force her faith on anyone.
