George Foreman is a former heavyweight champion boxer, and now a successful entrepreneur and preacher at The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Houston, Texas.

In 1973, Foreman defeated Joe Frazier to capture the world heavyweight boxing championship. He lost it to Muhammad Ali the following year, and in 1977, Foreman became a follower of Christ and walked away from boxing to become a pastor. In 1987 — 10 years later — he returned to boxing, and in November 1994, he defeated Michael Moorer to capture the WBA/IBF heavyweight belts for a second time. At the age of 45, Foreman’s victory made him the oldest fighter ever to win a championship.

Foreman’s life is portrayed in the new film, “Big George Foreman,” releasing in theaters today.

Today on the podcast, we talk to George Foreman about the new film, why it was time to say “yes” to a project like this, how his faith has helped him in his life, and why Jesus is his Keeper and his Firm Foundation.
