SS PODCAST: USWNT goalie Aubrey Kingsbury on the World Cup, serving with Compassion

Aubrey Kingsbury is a goalkeeper for the United States women’s national team, which will compete at the 2023 Women’s World Cup. The tournament is hosted by Australia and New Zealand and begins Thursday, with the first USWNT match Friday against Vietnam.

Kingsbury’s club team is the Washington Spirit of the NWSL, and in 2019 and 2021 she was named the league’s Goalkeeper of the Year. In college at Wake Forest, she was a three-time All-American, and she still holds numerous career program records, including shutouts and games played.

Kingsbury is also a pro athlete ambassador for Compassion International and joins the podcast today to talk about how important Compassion has been in her life, serving others, and helping to release kids from poverty.
