SS PODCAST: Adam LaRoche on combatting human trafficking, partnering with Water Mission

Adam LaRoche played 12 seasons of Major League Baseball with the Atlanta Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox, Arizona Diamondbacks, Washington Nationals and Chicago White Sox. He was selected in the 29th round of the 2000 MLB Draft by the Braves and made his MLB debut in April 2004.

During his career, he accumulated 255 home runs and 1,452 hits. In 2012, he was the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger winner at first base in a season that saw him hit a career-high 33 home runs and 100 RBIs.

Since retirement in 2016, LaRoche has been staying busy as a co-owner of Buck Commander with Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean and Willie Robertson. LaRoche is also in law enforcement, having gone to the police academy to be deputized in Fort Scott, Kansas.

Today on the podcast, Adam LaRoche joins Jason Romano and Scott Linebrink to share about his involvement in countering human trafficking and his work with Water Mission. Adam shares stories of his experiences in Ukraine and the Dominican Republic, where he witnessed the devastating effects of trafficking and the importance of access to clean water. His faith in Christ fuels his passion for this work, and he encourages others to get involved and support organizations like Water Mission.
