THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH JASON ROMANO, FEATURING TREVEYON HENDERSON
TreVeyon Henderson is a running back entering his senior season at Ohio State, with the Buckeyes one of the top favorites for a national title. He made an immediate impact as a freshman, leading the team in rushing with 1,248 yards and 15 touchdowns, but injuries impacted his 2022 season. He returned in 2023 to again lead the Buckeyes in rushing, compiling 926 yards and 11 TDs in 10 games played.
Henderson starred at the high school level in Hopewell, Virginia, where he was named the state’s Gatorade Football Player of the Year in 2019 after rushing for more than 4,000 yards and 50 touchdowns. He was a five-star prospect by most accounts, and 247 Sports had him ranked as the nation’s No. 1 running back.
Today on the podcast, TreVeyon Henderson discusses the false idols he used to chase, such as football and money, and how they left him feeling empty. He emphasizes the importance of surrounding himself with fellow believers and mentors, who have helped him grow in his faith. Henderson also shares about his decision to return for his senior year of college football instead of entering the NFL Draft, trusting that God has a greater purpose for him. Henderson expresses his desire to use his platform to lead others to Christ and give God all the glory.
