SS PODCAST: Bulls play-by-play voice Chuck Swirsky on faith, relationships, Sports Spectrum history

Chuck Swirsky is the radio play-by-play voice of the Chicago Bulls. He started his broadcasting career in Cleveland in the mid-1970s, and moved to Chicago in 1979. He spent many years working in Chicago radio at WGN. In the mid-1990s, Swirsky was the host of the Sports Spectrum syndicated radio program, for which he interviewed athletes and others in sports about their Christian faith.

In 1998, Swirsky moved to Toronto and became the play-by-play voice of the Raptors, a position he held for 10 years. In 2008, he returned to Chicago and became the voice of the Bulls radio broadcasts. In 2016, Swirsky was inducted into the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame, and in 2018 to the WGN Radio Walk of Fame.

Today on the podcast, Chuck Swirsky shares stories about his time working with Sports Spectrum in the 1990s. He also talks about his time as a broadcaster in Chicago during the Michael Jordan era, the future of broadcasting, and the importance of communication, connection and relationship.
