Derek Carr is considered one of the top young quarterbacks in the NFL and was on his way to a playoff run in 2016 before a broken leg knocked him out for the rest of the season.
But in 2017, Carr began to reap the benefits of his play on the field, by signing a new contract extension that made him the highest paid player in the NFL.
On Monday, just 13 days before he begins the 2017 regular season, Carr had a simple message to share to his fans and followers on twitter.
I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I have seen with my two eyes the power of it. I know it can change lives b/c it changed mine

Carr continues to not be afraid to share his faith in Christ with anyone and everyone that will listen and has recently took to twitter on multiple occasions to post scripture.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” – Romans 1:16
Carr and the Raiders open the NFL season on Sunday September 10, 2017 at Tennessee.
