Daigle, a native of Lafayette, La., was born and raised in the state. She attended Louisiana State University (which is currently No. 1 in the CFP rankings and could very well play in the title game) after taking a year off from school to do mission work in Brazil.

She is the winner of two American Music Awards, five Billboard Music Awards and two Grammy Awards. Both Grammys came this year, when Daigle’s most recent album, “Look Up Child,” won Best Contemporary Christian Music Album and “You Say” was named Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song. The song reached as high as No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has more than 175 million downloads on Spotify.

The College Football Playoff semifinals will take place on Dec. 28. Kickoff for the national championship game Jan. 13 is slated for 8 p.m. ET.
