When people think of Sacramento Kings guard Seth Curry, they might think of him as No. 2 — second best. Given his older brother, Stephen, is a two-time NBA MVP and a 2015 NBA Champion, it may be difficult for the public eye not to place Seth behind the Warriors star.
Seth agrees that he’s second in his life — just not to Steph.
In the video from the Christian Broadcasting Network (featured above), Seth talks about how he’s made Jesus Christ — not himself — his top priority, and how he’s been given basketball as a platform for bringing glory to God.
When this was filmed back in 2013, Curry and the Duke Blue Devils were in the Sweet 16 — making a run in the NCAA Tournament. But for Curry, it wasn’t about bringing honor and glory to himself but pointing those fans, coaches and teammates back to his Creator.
“Jesus Christ is definitely number one in my life,” Seth said. “I mean, Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and He’s done a lot for all of us by dying on the cross. So no matter what you do in life, just do it to the best of your ability and know you’re blessed.”
