The University of Georgia held a news conference on Monday morning to discuss Mark Richt’s coming departure as head football coach. Richt and athletic director Greg McGarity mutually agreed on Sunday that Richt would step down after the season, and they held a press conference on Monday to discuss the decision with the media. The press conference was 30 minutes long, but at the 23:45 mark, Richt provides an insightful look at his faith in the present trial.
“Lord, whatever your will is… that’s what I want to do,” Richt said. “I’m really at peace that it was part of His plan.”
