Attitude of Gratitude
When Carson Wentz, quarterback of a 10-2 Philadelphia Eagles team, tore his ACL in week 14 against the Rams, he could’ve reacted in a variety of ways. Of course, Wentz was incredibly disappointed, but he found peace and contentment by putting his faith in God and trusting in the Lord’s plan. Wentz chose to focus on the opportunity he was given instead of what he lost.
“I know the Lord’s working through it,” Wentz said in a video he posted on Twitter. “I know Jesus has a plan through it. I know He’s trying to grow me in something, teach me something, use me somehow, someway. This will just be a great testimony as I go forward.”

The only way to find true contentment, no matter the situation, is to fully trust in God’s unfailing love and His perfect plan. Carson Wentz’s video is an excellent example of how powerful approaching life from a grateful perspective can be. We can focus on all of the blessings and opportunities God has given us as opposed to focusing on everything we don’t have. If we have that mindset of thankfulness, our outlook on life is totally different and we can rejoice that God has given us everything we need! Contentment comes from changing our mentality so that we concentrate on what God has blessed us with.
