“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’” declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” – Jeremiah 29:11
Trusting the Process
The Philadelphia 76ers, led by center Joel Embiid, have made the phrase “trust the process” the motto for the team’s long rebuilding project. After years of losing, the organization finally seems to be turning the corner and now have one of the more promising young rosters in the NBA. Though they aren’t there yet, it appears that trusting the process will pay off in the end.
As Christians, we are also called to trust the process, God’s process. Life is filled with ups and downs and things never seem to go the way we had planned. While we can’t control everything in our lives, we can control how we respond. When faced with challenges, it is crucial that we stay connected to God and continue to trust in Him and the plan He has for us.
God promised through the prophet Jeremiah that He will prosper us, not harm us. Through the good and the bad, God is our source of hope and He will never desert us. We can get through any difficult time, but we need God’s help to do so (Philippians 4:13). No matter what is going on, God will be right beside you every step of the way.
Hope is an incredibly powerful thing and there is no better place to put our hope than in our all-powerful, all-knowing God.
Keep trusting His process!
