“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” – Proverbs 3:5
Knowing Who To Trust
If I played with the Boston Celtics, I would always trust Kyrie Irving with the ball when the game mattered most. I know he is clutch and has hit some of the biggest shots on the biggest stage in his NBA career. But I don’t think I would trust him at the center position—guarding players 7 feet tall each night. I know what Kyrie can do as a scorer, so I know I could trust him in that area.
In every area of our lives, we hear it said, “Trust in Jesus.” However, it is hard to trust in in the Lord if we do not know what He can do. One way to discover that is by reading the Bible and seeing how God took care of His people. Read how He protected Joseph for His purposes. Read about Paul and the special things God did for him as he ministered.
Reading God’s Word gives us confidence in God. When you know what God can and will do for you, trust and faith become simple, and blessings are soon to follow.
