“No man can come unto me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him” John 6:44

Called Out

If you sit down to watch a baseball game for long, you’re likely to see a runner get tagged out or gunned down by an oufielder’s throw to a base that beats them before they get there. Then there are those times when a runner is on second, and the batter gets a base hit and the man on second tries to round third and head for home before the ball comes in, and it dramatically becomes a play at the plate, when suddenly the umpire yells out loud, YOU’RE OUT!

Did you know that God also has called you out? Not like the umpire of course that calls you out, but God has called out unto you to receive his salvation. He is drawing and pulling and calling you out to receive Him as your personal Lord and Savior. One cannot just simply wake up one day and decide to become a Christian when they want to, but as the above verse says, no one can come to the Father except when he draws you or calls you out. My hope is that those who read this have already answered the call of God and accepted Christ as Savior.

Have you been called out to his salvation? Have you been called out for his service? My prayer today is that you will be called out!
