What does it mean to have unconditional love? What does it look like when someone loves you before you loved them? Romans 5:6-8 is love on display: “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.  But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Do you realize that Jesus said “yes” to us long before we said “yes” to Him?

Wrap your mind around verse 8: “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Before you cleaned yourself up, before you got your mind right, before you put yourself together, before salvation became real and repentance made you new, He had a rescue plan for you — and for all of humanity. Jesus had a rescue plan laced in love for all of us. That’s what unconditional love looks like for each and every human being on earth.

Remember: Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. How can we portray that same unconditional love to others?
