GET IN THE GAME PODCAST: Mitch Harris - Former MLB Pitcher & Navy Lieutenant

THIS IS THE GET IN THE GAME PODCAST
WITH SCOTT LINEBRINK

Mitch Harris defines service rather simply: “Others before self.” Whether it was in the dugout during his time in the major leagues or on the boat with his shipmates during his time in the Navy, Harris has lived a life of service as he prioritized putting others ahead of himself.

In today’s podcast, he talks with Scott Linebrink about his experience at the Naval Academy, his time in the Navy, and transitioning from that to a brief stint in the major leagues as a relief pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Harris made his major-league debut in 2015 and became the first Naval Academy alumnus to appear in the major leagues since Nemo Gaines did so in 1921. Harris retired following the 2017 season and now works as a financial advisor — another role in which he looks to serve others with his talents.

Get in the Game is part of the Sports Spectrum Podcast Network.
