NEW PODCAST: David Tyree - Former N.Y. Giants Super Bowl Champion

THIS IS EPISODE 584 OF THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST

David Tyree is a Super Bowl champion and former wide receiver for the New York Giants and Baltimore Ravens. He was selected in the sixth round of the 2003 NFL Draft (No. 211 overall) by the Giants. He spent six seasons with the Giants (2003-2008) before finishing his NFL career in 2009 with the Ravens.

Tyree is known for making one of the greatest catches in NFL history. His famous 32-yard “Helmet Catch” in Super Bowl XLII against Patriots safety Rodney Harrison helped keep the Giants’ final drive alive, as they went on to upset New England, 17-14, in February 2008.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Tyree about being a Super Bowl champion, remembering the “Helmet Catch” 13 years later, how God played a big role in that 2007-08 Super Bowl season, and his amazing story of encountering Christ in a hotel room on his 30th birthday.
