THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH JASON ROMANO, FEATURING DANSBY SWANSON

Dansby Swanson is the shortstop for the 2021 World Series-champion Atlanta Braves. He’s coming off a career year in 2021, hitting 27 home runs with 88 RBIs, and playing in a league-high 160 games. In the World Series, he hit a game-tying home run in Game 4 against Houston as the Braves took a 3-1 series lead. They would go on to win Game 6 and clinch their first World Series since 1995.

In 2022, Swanson will enter his seventh season with the Braves. He was originally the No. 1 overall pick by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2015, before getting traded that following December to Atlanta. In college at Vanderbilt, Swanson was named the 2014 College World Series MVP after helping lead his club to the College Baseball World Series championship.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Swanson about winning the World Series, his clutch home run in Game 4, the lesson God has taught him this year, and getting engaged to his longtime girlfriend, professional soccer player Mallory Pugh.
