THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH JASON ROMANO, FEATURING GRIFF ALDRICH
Griff Aldrich is the head coach of the Longwood men’s basketball team, which made its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 2022 after a Big South Conference championship. For his efforts, Aldrich was named the 2022 Big South Coach of the Year.
Prior to arriving at Longwood in 2018, Aldrich was an assistant coach at the University of Maryland-Baltimore Country, where he helped that team pull off the biggest upset in the history of the NCAA Tournament when the No. 16-seeded squad beat top-seeded Virginia.
Today on the podcast, we talk to Aldrich about leading his team to its first March Madness appearance, what he learned through the successful season, his incredible story of going from a lawyer to a college basketball coach, and the evolution of his faith in Jesus Christ.
Amid more important things going on in the world – thrilled to celebrate @LongwoodMBB and what they have accomplished this yr!
