SS PODCAST: Patriots WR Kendrick Bourne on surrendering his life to Jesus

THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH JASON ROMANO, FEATURING KENDRICK BOURNE

Kendrick Bourne is a wide receiver for the New England Patriots. He went undrafted in 2017 despite having a stellar college career at Eastern Washington, but eventually signed with the San Francisco 49ers, making the final roster as a rookie. He played in 11 games and snagged 16 passes that season. Two years later, he recorded five touchdown receptions and helped San Francisco to the NFC title and a berth in Super Bowl LIV, where they lost to the Chiefs, 31-20. Bourne caught two passes for a team-leading 42 yards in the game.

In 2021, he signed with the Patriots and finished with a career-high 55 receptions, 800 yards and five touchdowns. In the Patriots’ wildcard playoff game against Buffalo that season, he caught seven passes for 77 yards and two touchdowns in the 47-17 loss.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Kendrick Bourne about his NFL journey, playing in a Super Bowl, his love for Jesus, and why he needed to fully surrender his life to God after hitting rock bottom.
