Mike Furrey is the football head coach at Limestone University in Gaffney, South Carolina. Previously, he was the Chicago Bears wide receivers coach from 2018-2021.
In college, Furrey starred at Northern Iowa from 1996-1999, and then joined the Indianapolis Colts after going undrafted in 2000. After a few seasons in the XFL, Furrey made the Rams roster in 2003 and played both offense and defense as a converted free safety. He tallied four interceptions in 2005. In 2006, he signed with the Detroit Lions, switched back to wide receiver and excelled with 98 receptions, 1,086 yards and six touchdowns. He played two more seasons with Detroit before finishing his career in 2009 with the Cleveland Browns.
