WITH JASON ROMANO, FEATURING MIR MCLEAN

Mir McLean is a women’s basketball player at the University of Virginia. She excelled in high school at Roland Park Country School in Baltimore, Maryland, and first played college basketball at the University of Connecticut, helping the team to the Final Four in 2021. After being granted a waiver of immediate eligibility by the NCAA, McLean transferred to Virginia and played in 11 games in 2021-22.

In 2022-23, she ranked third in the ACC with 9.6 rebounds per game and was named to the All-ACC academic team. Her season ended in January against N.C. State when she suffered a knee injury.

Today on the podcast, we talk to Mir McLean about overcoming injuries, trusting in God to give her patience, her trip to Morocco in the summer of 2023, learning Arabic, and her excitement in returning to the basketball court.
