Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and world record-holding American sprinter and hurdler.

In 2016, she made history at age 16 as the youngest U.S. Olympian to compete in track and field since 1972. At the 2021 Tokyo Games, she cemented herself as a track superstar by winning a gold medal in the 400-meter hurdles, breaking the world record (51.46 seconds), and later winning gold in the 4x400m relay.

Sydney is also an author and her first book, “Far Beyond Gold: Running from Fear to Faith,” releases Jan. 30.

Today on the podcast, we welcome Sydney back to the show to talk about writing her book, what it means to run from fear to faith, preparing for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, and leading Bible studies with her husband, Andre, at UCLA.
