THIS IS EPISODE 560 OF THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
Andre Levrone Jr. is a former NFL wide receiver. He was undrafted out of college but was signed by the Baltimore Ravens and spent parts of three seasons with Baltimore, Carolina and Jacksonville before retiring at the age of 25 in 2020.
For college, he attended the University of Virginia, where he played in 22 games, catching 46 passes for 864 yards and eight touchdowns. He was also a standout wide receiver in high school, helping Our Lady of Good Counsel High School (Olney, Md.) win four straight Maryland state championships.
On today’s podcast, we talk to Levrone about walking away from the NFL dream before the dream could happen, why it’s important for him to read God’s Word out of adoration and not obligation, and how his faith in Christ was tested multiple times after suffering injuries in high school and college.

Why is it that God says only after we keep his words on our lips & meditate on them day & night may we be successful? Because again, the worlds definition of success is God’s definition of failure. The true “success” that our hearts yearn for is hidden in scripture. When we are constantly in the WORD, the desires of our hearts will no longer be the same as they were when we were constantly in the WORLD.
