THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH JASON ROMANO, FEATURING MATT FORTE

Matt Forte is a former NFL running back who played 10 seasons with the Chicago Bears and New York Jets. He was selected by Chicago in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft and played his first eight seasons with the Bears before finishing his final two years with the Jets (2016-2017).

During his career, Forte amassed nearly 15,000 all-purpose yards and was named to two Pro Bowls with the Bears. He is second on the Chicago Bears’ all-time rushing yards list behind Walter Payton.

Forte is also now an author, as his new children’s book, “My Hair Can,” released Sept. 3.

Today on the podcast, Matt Forte shares about the importance of maintaining intimacy with Christ through prayer and meditation on God’s Word. He shares his favorite memories from his NFL career, including his memorable debut game and a special moment with his parents. He also discusses the inspiration behind his book, and the messages of self-acceptance and valuing differences that it promotes.
