Nick Mingione is the baseball head coach at the University of Kentucky, a position he took in June 2016. Prior to his time with the Wildcats, he was an assistant coach at Mississippi State from 2009-16.
In 2017, Mingione’s first season in Lexington, he led the program to the NCAA Super Regionals for the first time ever, and was named SEC and National Coach of the Year. In 2024, he led the Wildcats to a historic season, achieving their first-ever berth at the NCAA College World Series.
On this episode of the podcast, Coach Mingione reflects on the unprecedented season for Kentucky baseball, and how surrendering to God and relying on His strength transformed his coaching approach. He also shares what it was like watching his son, Reeves, accept Jesus and get baptized.
