Today on the podcast, former NFL running back Matt Forte officially begins his role as the pro athlete voice on the Sports Spectrum Podcast, and he’s joined by his good friend and longtime NFL tight end Benjamin Watson.
Watson played 16 seasons in the NFL (2004-19) with the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens. He is also the author of three books and a college football analyst with the SEC Network.
Watson and Forte discuss the importance of self-leadership and raising their standards in relation to their faith. They explore the concept of servant leadership and the sacrifice that comes with following Jesus. They encourage young believers to embrace the cost of following Christ and not underestimate their platform to make a difference.
