GET IN THE GAME PODCAST: Brandon Puffer - Former MLB Player

THIS IS THE GET IN THE GAME PODCAST
WITH SCOTT LINEBRINK

Brandon Puffer is a former professional baseball pitcher. After being drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 27th round in 1994, he bounced around the minor leagues with the Angels, Reds and Rockies before making his major-league debut with the Astros on April 17, 2002. He later played with the Padres and Giants.

His baseball career came to an end in 2008 when he was arrested for burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit a felony. He was found guilty in 2009 and sentenced to five years in prison, but made parole in 2011 after more than three years in prison. It was during this time that he fully committed his life to Christ.

He is back in baseball as the co-founder of GPS Texas Baseball, where he is a pitching instructor and coach. He shares his story of shame and redemption this week with his friend and former teammate, Scott Linebrink.

“Get in the Game” is part of the Sports Spectrum Podcast Network.
