Suns Tyler Ulis' Career Night Ends in Buzzer-Beater to beat Boston

Every kid dreams of making it to the NBA and hitting a game-winning shot at the buzzer to win the game. On Sunday, Tyler Ulis did that and more for his Phoenix Suns.

Ulis, a 5’10 rookie point guard from Kentucky, scored a career-high 20 points against the Boston Celtics on Sunday Night, but it was his shot with no time left that gave the Suns and their fans a dramatic victory.

The three-pointer with no time left gave the Suns their best victory of the season and gave Tyler Ulis the first big NBA moment of his young career.

“I figured it would come down to me having to take a late shot,” Ulis said after the game. “Not like that, you know, off the steal, but I just shot it with confidence.”

In 2014, Tyler shared on twitter the picture of a very large tattoo on his shoulder with the words from Proverbs 3:5-6 in the Old Testament.

Ulis looks to finish his rookie season strong and recently moved into the backup point guard role with Phoenix. If he keeps playing like he did on Sunday, it won’t be long before the 21-year-old is in the starting lineup.
