College Basketball National Championship Prediction: Michigan vs Villanova

The College Basketball season comes to a close tonight as the Michigan Wolverines take on the Villanova Wildcats.

Michigan is looking to win its second National title since 1989. The last time the Wolverines were in the National Championship Game, they lost to Louisville 72-66 in 2013. The Big 10 tournament champs will ride the back of Moe Wagner, their impressive power forward.

On the other side, Villanova will look to win its second title in three years. The Wildcats have been dominate in the tournament, beating Kansas 95-79 in the National Semifinal. Just two years ago, Kris Jenkins hit the only buzzer-beating shot to win a National Championship as Nova beat North Carolina 77-74.

Our picks for tonight’s game:

Jason Romano: Villanova 75 – Michigan 60 — I picked Villanova from the beginning and I’m riding them to a dominant win tonight and their 2nd National title in 3 seasons.

Justin Adams: Villanova 73 – Michigan 63 – Villanova has been one of the best college basketball teams all season. In the tournament, Villanova has won every game by double digits. I expect the same thing to happen tonight behind the play of Wildcats guard Mikal Bridges, as Villanova takes home the National title.

Jon Ackerman: Villanova 82, Michigan 70 – Villanova is rolling, and has been for weeks. Michigan is playing well but hasn’t faced a seed higher than sixth en route to the title game. Villanova will cruise again.
