Chargers Hunter Henry plays for an audience of one

On Thanksgiving Day, the Chargers crushed the Cowboys 28-6. One of the big reasons for the turkey day victory was tight end Hunter Henry.

Henry was selected in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Chargers out of Arkansas, where he won the John Mackey Award in 2015, given to college football’s top tight end.

Growing up the son of a pastor, Henry’s faith in Christ is strong and he credits his relationship with the Lord as his motivation in life.

“I would say my faith is the most important thing to me,” Hunter Henry told Breitbart in 2016. “My dad [Mark Henry] is a pastor in Little Rock. I’ve grown up in a Christian background my whole life. My faith is the most important thing to me; that’s the one message that I want to convey to everybody.”

Hunter’s twitter page says he plays an lives for an “Audience of One” and has the Bible verse John 3:30 – “He must increase, I must decrease.”

“No matter what,” Hunter said, “my Christian faith is going to be the most important thing to me.”
