College Football Game of the Week: Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic

The college football bowl season continues as we travel to Arlington, Texas where USC will take on Ohio State in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

USC (11-2) won the Pac-12 Championship and has posted back-to-back double-digit winning seasons for the first time since 2007 and 2008.

Ohio State (11-2) took the Big Ten Championship and just missed out on making the College Football playoffs.

Last season, the Trojans beat Penn State in a thriller in the Rose Bowl. Can USC beat another Big Ten Champion in a bowl game for the second year in a row?

Our picks for this game at AT&T Stadium:

Jason Romano: Ohio State 30 – USC – 27 – This game features two high profile teams. I think Urban Meyer has his squad ready and the Buckeyes pull it out on a late FG to win it.

Justin Adams: Ohio State 31 – USC 24  – Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has never lost back-to-back bowl games and he won’t do so here. Buckeyes quarterback J.T. Barrett will have a big day through the air and lead Ohio State to a win by a touchdown.

Jon Ackerman: Ohio State 35 – USC 20 – Both teams can light up the scoreboard, but the Buckeyes can actually stop opponents on defense. That D will be the difference.
