NFL Game of the Week: Carolina Panthers vs Atlanta Falcons

The last two NFC Champions meet at Mercedes-Benz Stadium with a playoff spot on the line.

The Atlanta Falcons (9-6) need a win over the Carolina Panthers (11-4) to clinch a playoff berth.

Carolina secured their place in the postseason last week by beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Panthers can still clinch the NFC South Division with a win and a New Orleans Saints loss.

Our picks on who will win this matchup and who will also take the final playoff spot in the AFC and NFC:

Jason Romano: Falcons 28 – Panthers 23 – Atlanta returns home and sneaks into the playoffs with a big win over Carolina.

AFC 6th Seed: Los Angeles Chargers
NFC 6th Seed: Atlanta Falcons

Justin Adams: Falcons 27 – Panthers 20 – Atlanta uses its home field advantage to lock up a playoff spot over Carolina.

AFC 6th Seed: Tennessee Titans
NFC 6th Seed: Atlanta Falcons

Jon Ackerman: Panthers 30 – Falcons 28 – Both teams have a ton riding on this game, but I see the Panthers pulling through. The Falcons just aren’t clicking this year.

AFC 6th Seed: Los Angeles Chargers
NFC 6th Seed: Seattle Seahawks
