Brock Purdy and his San Francisco 49ers may have fallen just short in Super Bowl LVIII, but the 24-year-old quarterback has still added a ring to his finger this year.
He and his longtime girlfriend, Jenna Brandt, got married Saturday at Plymouth Church in Des Moines, Iowa, the city where the couple first met as student-athletes at Iowa State. Jenna was a volleyball player while Brock led the football team to the most wins (30) of any quarterback in Iowa State history.

The new Mrs. Purdy posted photos of the big day on Instagram, calling it the “best day of our lives.”

Jenna’s caption read in part, “I get to call my best friend my HUSBAND for forever and ever!!!!”
Brock later commented on the post. “I love you Mrs. Purdy,” he wrote while adding a heart emoji.
The couple got engaged in July 2023 before the start of Brock’s second season in the NFL, which turned out to be one for the ages. He completed 308 of 444 passes for 4,280 yards with 31 touchdowns and 11 interceptions during the regular season. His play made him one of the favorites for league MVP for much of the year before the award ultimately went to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Brock continued his solid play in the postseason, orchestrating two consecutive second-half comebacks against the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions to help the 49ers advance all the way to the Super Bowl, where they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, 25-22, in overtime.
When Brock and Jenna first got engaged, each of their Instagram posts demonstrated a desire to glorify God and make Him the center of their marriage.

“My Jenna girl forever,” Brock captioned his post. “I can’t wait to be your husband and grow together in Christ. Here’s to forever babe. I love you JB!”

“Brock Purdy — I love everything about you & your heart for Jesus more than any words can say,” Jenna captioned hers.
Brock and Jenna know that Jesus calls His followers to deny themselves and pick up their cross and follow Him. Their career successes, their marriage and even their lives aren’t ultimately about them, but about God and His glory.
“If you’re trying to chase status and money and all this kind of stuff, you’ll lose your life, rather than denying yourself, picking up your cross, keeping your eyes on Jesus and His promises,” Purdy said on the Sports Spectrum Podcast in February 2023. “That’s a life worth living, and that’s how you save your life.”
