“Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person whom lacks self-control.” Proverbs 25:28
Have you ever known someone who had a lot of talent, yet no self-control? Maybe the person didn’t work hard, never worked out in the off season, ate junk food, or was always late to practice. It can be frustrating to be on a team where someone does those things. Whether they realize it or not, their actions affect the team.
As a Christian, it is important that we exercise self-control in all we do. Without self-control, you are self-destructing. There are many times in life when you do not feel like working, or putting extra effort into an activity, but it is those times that reveal your true character. Someone with self-control will do what it takes to get better.
Do you exercise self-control in your Christian life? Or do you choose sleep over reading your Bible, or miss church because of lazy reasons? Don’t be known for being lazy, but have self-control in all aspects of your life.
