“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” — John 10:10

The Red Zone

It’s no coincidence that the most crucial zone to success in football is referred to as the red zone. Red refers to the heart. The fighting is fierce in this zone and championships are won or lost based on a team’s red zone success.

It is just as true in the spiritual realm. If God’s truth does not make it through our red zone — the distance between our head and heart — we will never experience the abundant life Jesus promised us. The more truth has victory in our red zone, the more we will experience Heaven on earth — the abundant life Jesus promises.

Have you allowed Satan and his lies to sack God’s truth from healing your heart and bringing you fully alive? How is your red zone offense and defense? Are you diligently pushing the truth through Satan’s defenses into your heart?

You must realize that the battle for your heart is fierce, and the intensity is great. Just as football becomes increasingly violent in the red zone, so it is true when it comes to your heart. Jesus says in John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
