This week’s Throwback Thursday subject is one-of-a-kind. At 5’3″, Tanya Crevier’s height was not ideal for traditional basketball. Still, she competed in four sports at South Dakota State University, and played three years of Women’s Professional Basketball. Inspired when her brothers told her stories about a basketball handler they saw, she began practicing something unusual: tricks with basketballs. Her ball-handling prowess was (and still is) considered to be some of the best in the world.
She can balance and spin nine basketballs at once, in addition to other seemingly impossible feats. Her distinctive skills have taken her across three continents to perform. Whenever possible, she tells others about her faith in Christ, using her talents to influence others’ lives.
