“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity.” — Psalm 133:1 (ESV)
For Each Other
My daughter just finished her second season of travel volleyball. It was a lot of fun watching her grow and continue to improve in a sport she has only been playing for a few years.
As a guy who loves sports, I love the game within the game — the unsung heroes, the camaraderie, the perfect volley, the strategy to be in the right place at the right time, the teamwork. And volleyball requires tons of teamwork. Players are talking to each other on every single serve and volley. You need your teammates and you need to communicate with them at all times.
That’s actually a great lesson for us in our lives isn’t it? Teamwork makes the dream work. We were not put on earth to do life alone. We were built for community. We were created for each other. We need each other.
This week, let’s communicate with each other. Let’s serve each other. Let’s talk and let others know we’re there for them.
Because when we do life together, that’s when God does His best work through us.
