Morgan Ensberg is a former MLB player who was selected in the ninth round of the 1998 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros. He made his MLB debut on Sept. 20, 2000, with Houston and went on to have an eight-year MLB career with the Astros, San Diego Padres and New York Yankees. In 2005, he was named to the All-Star team and led the Astros to the World Series, hitting .283 with 36 home runs and 101 RBIs.

Ensberg also holds the unique distinction of being the only MLB player to win championship rings in college (USC, 1998), Rookie League (Auburn, 1998), Single-A (Kissimmee, 1999), Double-A (Round Rock, 2000), Triple-A (New Orleans, 2001) and play in a World Series (2005).

After retirement, Ensberg went into coaching and is currently the manager of the Durham Bulls, the Tampa Bay Rays’ Triple-A affiliate.

Today on the podcast, Morgan Ensberg shares with us his journey of baseball, faith, the moment he had to cry out to God in 2000, placing control of his life into God’s hands, and sharing his faith as a coach.
